Mouse Aim Controls deprecated?

This is a follow up to an original post I had made but failed to properly continue or give proper answers to those who asked.

Since it's been over a decade, I would like to know why the moust controls for Great Battles has been completely abandoned and if we're ever going to see it return in some form in Il-2 Korea.

The very last reply on the thread was someone who I think was delving into how they setup their moust controls, but I never got the proper chance to respond.
Now to make something clear here, as I've made clear on my old post, I'd rather have constructive answers than veterans of 1946 and forward telling me why, "max realism" is better and trying to convince me otherwise, or "go play war thunder". Especially since it's apparaent they're working on making IL-2 Korea playable with a normal controller without the need for a joystick and those kinds of remarks serve no value to the post when a controller and mouse aim provide ease of access and can be more convenient in certain situations.

It does get exhausting using IR track and flying for a while, and not everyone has the most convenient locations spot or space for a setup.

I have a joystick, I've played IL-2 1946 a lot with it exclusively, same for this game. But I find the mouse aim here to be a good subsitutue if I don't want to pull out my Track IR/joystick, set everything up, and sit up straight for a few hours flying. Sometimes you just want to casually play the game and not have to set everything up over again and just lie down or something.

As for those who DO want to say "go play war thunder" I'm sure you are or aren't aware of it's issues and it's not something one always wants to go and play, just because some decade old veteran doesn't like the idea of not being fully immerssed. But anyways, voice what you please, but please keep it professional and refrain from hostilities.

What exactly do you mean by "mouse aim?" There is nothing preventing you from binding pitch and roll to a mouse, they are actually bound that way by default. Ive never been aware of any war thunder/arcade style amalgamation of axis in any of the IL2 games. There is an aim assist of sorts in the difficulty settings that adds a visual indicator to where your shooting or dropping bombs, but as far as im aware thats all there's ever been.

Im not trying to be dismissive, but are you sure this was a thing in GB and not another game? Ive been playing GB since it came out on steam and i dont ever remember this being a thing

IL-2 GB has had a separate control scheme allowing the usage of the mouse for about over a decade.

I've never used them but I have heard the mouse controls are (or were?) quite good as well.
