Running below the minimum system requirements...

This should be obvious, but I'll say it anyway:
1. I am not an official representative of the developers.
2. The developers have no obligation to make the game run below the system requirements. Running the game below the minimum system requirements is unsupported.
3. If you are below the minimum system requirements, a patch could end your ability to run the game at any time. The developers intend for the minimum system requirements to be the minimum system requirements (and can add features that require the minimum system requirements at any time).
4. You may (will?) not experience the game as intended - and some game modes might not work (e.g. Career mode once released might not work well or Multiplayer might not work). Even if you can get it to run - you may have to run simpler missions with worse graphics to get it to run at all.

That said...

Tested in a single-player quick mission:
30 FPS to 60 FPS 1080p without anti-aliasing and shadows.
20 FPS to 50 FPS 1080p with minimum anti-aliasing and shadows.

System:
i7-10700f @ 2.90 Ghz (Turbo-mode up to 4.8 Ghz)
GTX1660 Super 6GB
16 GB ram
SSD Samsung 970 2TB

Exactly how slow a machine can we get this to run on?

I All, I fly FB with a MSI 1660 super 6 Gb graphic card and all runs smoothly, But I see that the minimum card needed for Korea is a RTX 3060 8 Gb 

So does that mean that my card would struggle  to display the graphics needed for Korea ?  if so I would have upgrade to the 3060 

MSI 3060 cost between $600 and $700 Australian dollars depending on the memory size. I may have to drop a few hints before this Christmas !!

I'd be surprised if your card will be enough to play on anything but lowest settings - but - you can buy Korea on Steam and demo it for a couple of hours; see how it runs.

on high visual settings, screen, but nothing fancy, not the highest graphical settings, in career mode, the VRAM goes from 9.5 to 13 GB.

700 bucks puts you in 16gb 9060xt territory.For the dollar range that would easily be my pick.

Korea runs fine on my RTX 2060 laptop GPU (also 6GB). The 2060 is only a little faster, so you might try the Steam version for a bit, as Valis suggested.

I've held off talking about the sim so far as I'm very much a casual player, who plays IL2 as an extension to my Aero modelling hobby (Injection moulded kits) but so far I've been really happy with what I've seen with Korea. Before retirement I was a CAD guy so my PC reflects that Intel I7 3.6Ghz, 64 Mb RAM and a Nvidia T-1000 8Gb GPU all in Win 11 Pro. Oh ! and a M-Audio DAW set up for recording with Pro-tools, so definitely not a gaming PC ! I really thought I'd have to get a new graphics card, but even without all the bells and whistles selected, running the sim on 2k graphics and at 1920 x 1080 it still looks good on Screen. What surprised me though if I Jump to 4K graphics and a few added bells and whistles then yep it slows, I get the memory warning but...It so far hasn't fallen over! But back at 2k is the sweet spot and it's perfectly acceptable in 2D for me. I'm looking forward to the DLC content news in the next few days, and think I may still need a new graphics card eventually but for anyone out there with a lower spec machine it's still pretty good !
