SYN_Vander Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Not easier, not more difficult either 🙂 I tried AI and this is the result for IL2, but maybe you already know that: To host a cooperative mission in IL-2 Sturmovik, the host must set up port forwarding, configure in-game settings, and select a mission file (often created via tools like PWCG or the Full Mission Builder). [1, 2, 3] Follow these specific steps to get your server running smoothly: 1. Port Forwarding & Networking (Host Only) Before your friends can join, you must configure your router. [1] Required Ports: Forward TCP 28000, UDP 28000, and TCP 28100 through your router to your PC’s local IP address. Local IP Setup: Assign your PC a static local IP address so these ports always route to the correct machine. In-Game Settings: Go to Settings > Multiplayer and make sure the IP listed matches your local network IP (turn off any active VPNs if your friends get kicked after loading). Firewall: Ensure your Windows Firewall allows the IL-2 application to communicate over those ports. [1, 2, 3, 4] 2. Prepare Your Mission File You can use pre-made multiplayer missions, download community campaigns, or use mission generators: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Mission Generators: Many players use the Pat Wilson Campaign Generator (PWCG) to create dynamic co-op missions. File Location: Place your .mission files into the game's cooperative directory. This is typically located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\Multiplayer\Cooperative [1, 2] 3. Launch the Cooperative Server Start the game in Online Mode. Navigate to Multiplayer and select Cooperative. Click Create Server. Set a Server Name and an optional Password. Ensure the "Available from Internet" or public listing option is checked, depending on whether you want a public or private server. Add your mission to the Rotation list and click Continue/Start Server. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] 4. Joining and Starting Once the server loads, you will be in the lobby screen. Your friends can find your server in the Cooperative Multiplayer server browser (or they can connect via Direct IP) and enter the password. Each player must click on an available aircraft/pilot slot and adjust their loadouts. As the host, you will press Start/Ready. A countdown will begin, and the mission will launch. [1, 2, 3] 1
