It seems like "parked" mission starts are no longer working for any plane (or at least any of the ones I've tried). You can run the engine startup sequence, but then it immediately shuts down again. In the F-84E, the engine sounds keep playing even after the engine shuts off. In other planes, the engine shuts down normally (well, aside from the fact that you didn't tell it to shut down).

Confirm this in the Mig-15. It seems to be related to a warning that the fuel shutoff valve position is not closed. This is mentioned in the manual, but I can find no keybinding with that or a similar name..... very disappointing.

UPDATE - bizarrely, seems to work fine in MP, just not in SP.

What missions are you talking about? I did one (SP) after the patch 002b and parked works, I start there. Same in TASK EDITOR.

Just a parked, free flight mission in the Task Editor for the Mig-15.

Just checked again and it's still doing it. It says 'Fuel Shutoff Valve: Open', and then 'Engine Failure'.

I'm currently flying the F-51D, I'll check how it is currently.

Now works in the Mig-15 if I set throttle to 10% before engine start. Thanks to JG14-Jagr for the tip

Yeah, all single-player task editor missions. I just tried the Sabre again, and no dice on a parked start. Engine starts up normally, runs for a few seconds after the startup sequence ends, and then shuts down.

As an added twist, I did a runway start task editor mission in the Sabre and wasn't able to shut down once I had landed and parked again. Pressing the button simply did nothing. This is less of an issue than not being able to start, obviously, but maybe it's related?

Yes, I get the same in the Sabre, even when setting the throttle to 10%

I can't confirm this. I just checked the MiG-15bis and F-51D. Everything is fine. I'm launching from C&D mode in parked mode with TASK EDITOR. You need to add some power in the MiG-15bis to get it off IDLE, like 11-12%. Also, make sure your Mixture physical lever isn't set to 0, as this can sometimes block launches. Generally, though, there's no problem; I was able to get everything working and start Taxi.

Yes, as I said, that works for me in the Mig-15 ..... not what it says in the manual, though....

Presumably, no mixture setting in the Mig?

Sabre still doesn't work for me. Engine starts, but after a minute or so it just shuts downn
