Spasticus Posted June 29 Posted June 29 (edited) I noticed the game recommends not using XRToolkit. Okay fine, I don't need the toolkit, I just want XRNecksafer to work so I can check my six in VR, with the limited field of view, without breaking my neck. Just like TrackIR users can do. If that same functionality can just be added to the game, I don't need to use third party programs like XRNecksafer and the outdated XRtoolkit and I'd be happier. Suggestion: - Add 2 keybinds, one for checking over your left shoulder, one for checking over your right shoulder. - When holding this keybind the game should both move your pilot head to the side, against the canopy glass, and turn the camera around to look about 60 degrees backward. - When holding this keybind head movement should be anchored on that position but still moveable by moving the VR headset. - Ideally, the amount of lateral movement and the exact amount of degrees the camera turns need to be modifiable in the game menu so people can customize it to their liking. This is about as fair as TrackIR users being able to accelerate their head movement. They also never have to look physically behind them to check their six. If I don't have this functionality I feel I'm at a huge disadvantage when playing multiplayer and I feel that's unfair. Edited June 29 by Spasticus 1
airsheep_VR Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Hi, you can use xrnecksafer in vr without using openxr toolkit. At least i can use it just like in Il2 BoX. Pimax Crystal Light here.
Dash,Polder Posted June 29 Posted June 29 (edited) There's also another option that just released, VectorXR, it's single button activated for either side, on state or off. You can set the amount of travel and speed of swing, and if you want set up a vertical look up axis. Edited June 29 by Dash,Polder

How do I create 2 pivots (left and right) to look back and moving my head to the side?
Dash,Polder Posted Tuesday at 03:59 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:59 PM There's a new version out, where you can do a necksafer style auto set rotation, no button press required to hold it anymore. Add your application with your sim open and running, it will see it automatically. Choose your game profile you want to customize via edit. The larger the Step Trigger the few the swing stages, with 45 there are two stages to check your six. This is the settings that work well and feel natural for me. You now have three options to run it in Edit Bindings, I leave it on, it's ready and running when I hop in game, don't have to push a button or fire anything up. 1
