MajorMagee Posted June 29 Posted June 29 (edited) The HUD has three presets that can be customized through the Flight Interface / HUD Setup Screen. You can adjust the HUD transparency in the Flight Interface to help with visibility if they start to block too much of your screen. I have mine at 66%. For each readout you have the choice of a simplified single height, or double height data cell. They are grouped as Flight Instruments, Engine Instruments, and Miscellaneous There are two rows of 21 cell positions available across the bottom of the screen. You can position these cells as Left, Center, or Right justified. To center the HUD on your screen use Center Justified and start from cell 11 working symmetrically either side from that cell. It's just a matter of drag and drop to create a custom arrangement. The only thing you cannot do is stack a single height and double height data cell in the same column. You can cycle through these three presets and turn the HUD off in game by using Right Alt + H. I have my three presets grouped by functional need: Flying, Fussing (with the Engine), and Fighting. If your preset includes data cells that are not appropriate for the situation they will not display. For example, if you have no underwing stores loaded the payload cell will be suppressed. Viking1 Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Good summary and grouping by function for the HUD choice makes sense. First thing I got rid of was the compass redundancy. I forgot we had the transparency setting good reminder!

Aren't there other buttons for HUD ON/OFF and switching between the 3 layers of HUD? Does it work in such a way that you have to press it 3 times RAlt+H (if you have 3 layers) to turn it off? I'm generally not interested in the HUD, I have it turned off and that's what I advise to anyone who wants to have immersion and be a better pilot looking for realism, but from what I see, the HUD should be turned on to see the voice chat 😞. I hope the developers make the chat (ATC commands/pilots) a separate feature, independent of the HUD, and that it can be turned on and off. MajorMagee Posted July 12 Author Posted July 12 I believe the game chat is controlled by the Enter key. Service To The Line, On The Line, On Time! 9800X3D, 64 GB DDR5, RTX 5070-Ti 1024 GB/s @ 2700 MHz 0.85V, Calibrated 8 bit IPS 3440x1440 @ 100Hz

I think they will, it seems an obvious 'fix'. Same with the 'Techno-Chat' I also want to see the chat scalable, or at least have a smaller (and placeable) option - similar to the miniature HUD elements. 1

When I meant chat, I didn't write about player chat, but about Pilot>Flight>ATC conversations (left window). I also checked the keyboard and it works like this: H - turn on/off the HUD RAlt+H - scrolls between presets Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl.
