enviro.dll error on IL‑2 Korea launch – installation appears incomplete (Error 0x0e90002)

Hello, I’m encountering a repeatable startup error when attempting to launch IL‑2 Korea Early Access. The installer completed successfully, but the game will not start due to a DLL validation failure.

Here is the exact message:

C:\Program Files\IL2Series\Game\enviro.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x0e90002.

This appears to indicate that enviro.dll was downloaded incompletely or failed IL‑2’s internal integrity check, which is preventing the game from loading past the initial executable stage. “Check Files” does not resolve the issue, likely because the master server is not yet validating or replacing Early Access files.

My System Hardware

  • Alienware Area 51 workstation

  • NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPU

  • Intel high‑performance CPU (Area 51 platform)

  • 32GB+ RAM

  • Windows 11 x64 (fully updated)

Flight Controls

  • Virpil VPC MongoosT‑50CM2 Grip

  • Virpil VPC MongoosT‑50CM2 Base

  • Virpil VPC MongoosT‑50 Throttle

  • Virpil VPC ACE Rudder Pedals

VR Hardware

  • Pimax Crystal Super (57 PPD)

  • SteamVR + OpenXR / PimaxXR

Additional Notes

  • The game installs normally and the launcher runs.

  • Login attempts fail with the standard Early Access “No connection with authorization server” message.

  • The enviro.dll error appears immediately when attempting to start the game executable.

  • Other users appear to be experiencing similar symptoms (SSL errors, CRC issues, incomplete unpacking, etc.), suggesting the backend may not yet be fully activated.

I’m posting this to confirm whether this DLL issue is expected during the Early Access activation window, or if the file should already be valid and complete. Any guidance from the team would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello,
I’m reporting an installation issue with IL‑2 Korea Early Access that appears to be caused by Windows Smart App Control blocking part of the game during installation.

During the initial install, Windows displayed a Smart App Control warning indicating that one or more components of the IL‑2 Korea executable package were not trusted. After checking the Windows security logs, it appears Smart App Control prevented certain files from being written or validated correctly. As a result, the game installation completed, but several files were left in an unusable or corrupted state.

I’m posting this to confirm whether Smart App Control interference is expected during Early Access activation, or if the installer should already be fully trusted by Windows. Any guidance from the team would be appreciated.

Thank you.
