Mr_Tayto Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) First of all I want to say how blown away I am with this game. I played the very first IL-2 and then drifted away from flight sims for over a decade, before getting back into them. DCS leaves me cold, for some reason. I just can't get into it, but this I absolutely love. Had my first flights this afternoon and it was love at first sight, no issues with frames, everything is beautiful and the preset keymaps for peripherals are mostly perfect. However, my wheel brakes do not seem to work. I have bound and rebound them, used different settings within the binds and nothing. This is most frustrating when attempting the exam first mission. I power up on the runway and start the roll, and the aircraft swings to the left every time. Obviously the rudder doesn't impact this until a reasonable high ground speed, so I keep departing the runway. I tried on a free flight too, same issue (almost) but this time veered to the right and I had just enough runway for the rudder to become live and steer me back to centreline for takeoff. Does anyone have any advice? I am using Saitek/Logi pro flight pedals, toes brake input for wheel brakes. So far this is the only insurmountable problem I've had with the preset controls. EDIT: Just remembered, my trim hat doesn't seem to do anything either, despite being bound (X56 rhino) Edited June 28 by Mr_Tayto
Mr_Tayto Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Admin you can lock this - I see it's a me problem and it's do do with how Soviet aircraft engage NWS. Still, a tooltip or even a short tutorial would be welcome 🙂 1
