For folks who like flying with the HUD off we do not see confirmation of things like Nose Wheel Steering, Trim, Auto Level etc. because all messages are hidden and there is no audible noise to tell you a switch has been flipped.  Is it possible with HUD mode Off to still get the "techno chat" that confirms the things your doing in the cockpit?

I agree that it would be fine to have hud off, and technochat on.

You can more or less set it up that way now. Go into Setting > Flight Controls and select HUD customization at the bottom of the screen. Then just delete all of the HUD display items on page 1 of the HUD. You can also set the mini map to be hidden in the main Flight Controls settings page and set the HUD to be on by default. Now when you start a mission, the HUD is on but completely empty, just as though it were off. However, you can still see technochat and radio messages.

If you still want the option to turn on the HUD sometimes, you just need to set up your HUD stuff on HUD pages 2 and 3 in the HUD setup menu. That way, you can cycle the HUD "on" by switching it to the next page.

Yes, it could be a solution.

There is something i can't hide (except with the H key, it's the score game in multiplayer. I don't care about having it displayed.

That worked great.  And if you set the "HUD at Start" to enabled the techno chat will always be on.  Thanks bsones.

I do wish there were a way to hide markers by default at mission start (I'm pretty sure Great Battles has that?), but it seems like you have to toggle them off manually each time you start a mission.

How can I do that? I tried everything on the customization page but can't delete any items from hud.

Drag and drop from the bottom to the top.

Also, there is a button Clear Panel.

A video in french.

Thanks, based on that video I finally managed to set only the compass on the screen.
