E4GLEyE Posted Saturday at 01:16 PM Posted Saturday at 01:16 PM When turning the engine on (F-86 in this case) if the Engine helper: Throttle limiter is disengaged the startup process halts and the engine shuts back down after a minute or so. It seems that there is a step that is missing when starting up the engine without the helper, Throttle Pawl Lock does not come on by itself. Could not find a bind for this item sadly, so not sure if the plane can be at all started without the helper being on (tried manually moving the throttle to 10-50-100 percent during startups, no joy.
GrumpyGnome Posted Saturday at 02:11 PM Posted Saturday at 02:11 PM I have read here on the forum, that this "BUG" has been reported in bata testing for the F-86A. I have also read that if you dismount the AC and then reenter the cockpit you can start the engine. 1
