Stunning stuff Devs!

Been playing the IL2 games since 2010. A great franchise that only got better over time with new iterations and now we have arrived.

Well having spent at least 20 hours in the sim both in VR and monitor, I have to say I am truly truly impressed.

It's the overall experience that stands out and that's even with the missing features of early access.

I really hope whoever came up with the key-mapping interface design and implementation got some bonuses.

It's like they took all the positive features of other sims (over the past 20 years) along with their previous games and put it all together. Absolute joy to work with especially coming from IL2GB. I can tell a lot of man-hours was put into this feature and it shows. Well done!

I am happy the call was made not to compromise on VR fidelity because even though maxed out at full resolution, the game is damn near unplayable for me I am glad to see no shortcuts were made because at playable resolutions it is a thing of beauty in motion.

The game in general at times can be absolutely stunning, from the weather fx, the explosion fx and physics in general to the amazing detail of each airfield. Seeing random crew walk around is such a treat and little things like actually having sound fx in the background mimicking repairs, just beautiful and much appreciated.

Then there is the flight model. I can only comment on the P/F - 51 because I have been playing it non-stop. I have close to 50 hours in the DCS p-51 and let me tell you, you folks nailed it. The P-51 in IL2GB is solid but you folks have truly done a great job with the F-51 in Korea.

Not sure if it's the upgraded engine or if you revamped the previous model but it just feels right. Now you are matched with DCS flight modeling as far as I am concerned.

The sound fx for the F-51 sound really good too. I enjoy the various prop-wash sounds the most while on the ground really solid stuff. So glad the whistling sound was toned down that stuff got old both in GB and DCS.

Haven't bothered with fighting AI since I know that is being worked on and I am confident you folks will impress in due time.

Overall a promising start and I will be buying all the future DLC day 1 for this masterpiece in the making something I did not do with GB as I tended to wait for a sale.

I can't wait to fully enjoy the campaign and careers and look forward to all the future DLC. Once again great job devs!
