Hi all, just wanted to post this here mostly to give the devs feedback. This list is in no particular order.

1. VR image is very soft. Sharpening does not fix this. It causes visual artifacts that make spotting difficult, even at close range, and it makes tracers practically invisible.

2. Nose/tail wheel lock doesn't seem to work in some airframes

3. Ground texture are very blurry/low res. Seems like LOD is kicking in at about 50ft agl, it looks pretty bad.

4. Im not an aeronautical engineer, but the mig 15 seems like a UFO. The saber is basically totally helpless against. I watched 2 guys flying migs in MP hold an entire team hostage at an air field tonight. Even if you get dead six they can just punch it and get out of range. It almost felt like they were outrunning my rounds. Its crazy.

5. Graphics settings and performance seem inconsistent. Some times settings that have worked fine suddenly cause the game to start slow down, ill randomly get the low memory message. It think there are memory leaks but I haven't checked.

6. This one is obvious, but the lack of SP content right now really sucks. We have the best ground pounding sandbox in the history of sims and really now way to explore it right now. Obviously this will change but I was hoping for some ground attack missions out of the gate.

7. The AI. I dont have anything to say here that hasn't already been said, its just the same. Except some times it isnt? It has surprised me a couple times.

Honestly these are the only real gripes i have so far. Everything else is great, the cockpits look great, (especially the La-11 and Yak-9, holy sh!t, they look amazing) the damage model is the best the best there is. Get these kinks ironed out and Korea is setting the bar for the next decade. The other folks in the race are gonna have to step it up.

EDIT: I forgot the biggest glaring problem actually. Gunsights are way too dim. They're impossible to see against sky in VR. Same with tracers. Maybe this is an HDR/Tuning thing I my end, I'll mess around with it more. But when the sun is reflecting off a plane the sight completely disappears.

Cheers

regarding the gunsight, there is a keybind to make it brighter  I have it set to an axis paddle so I can slide it up when I need it then it returns to normal when I release.

@86Cheese, I think it would be more helpful if you are more specific.

Which graphic settings are inconsistent?

Which planes don't lock their tail/nosewheel?

It's good to have feedback, but the devs cannot spend time going on wild goose chases based in vague feedback. They need concrete and, if possible, actionable feedback.

I'm aware, full brightness is way too dim. I keep seeing people complain about this and this the same response everywhere. The sights start at full brightness, if folks aren't aware the brightness is adjustable, then they are still seeing 100% brightness when coming to the conclusion that it is not bright enough. Maybe this is specific to VR, but you CAN NOT see your gunsight above the horizon line. Looking at clouds or against a clear blue sky It is totally blown out.

For example:

Thats fair, but these were intentionally vague. As I stated, graphic settings that seem to work suddenly, and I have to change them to get playable frame rates again, regardless of what they are. This is not tied to any particular setting. Like I said before, I think this may actually be due to a memory leak.

Same with the nose/tail wheels. This was intentionally vague because it doesn't seem to be specific to a plane, some times the binding just doesn't seem to work. I think this was more of a control binding problem though. Having them both bound to the same toggle didn't work to enable nose wheel steering, but putting that on a separate button press might have fixed it.
