Sboys3 question

I've replaced the openvr_api.dll file so I can run Il-2 and Korea without Steam VR.

Does anyone know if I can use the Sboys3 driver via Pimax Evo without using Steam VR?  In the alternative, do I have to start and minimise Evo, Start Steam VR, enable the Sboys3 driver then start the game?

??? Why replaced dll? You can select this in the OpenXR settings instead of OpenVR.

Testing performance. 

I can’t yet work out if using the driver is more advantageous even though I need PP and SteamVR running rather thank just PP.

I suppose the simple question is - can the SBoys3 driver be used without SteamVR?

I think not, but if there’s a workaround that increases.FPS or reduces frame rendering time then I’ll try it.
