bsones Posted June 26 Posted June 26 (edited) So, like GB, it seems like the default QFE setting for your altimeter is sea level. IL2K has introduced the ability to fiddle with (some) gauges, including the altimeter, so now we can set our own QFE! One problem: how do I find the QFE for my chosen airfield? That information doesn't seem to be listed on the map or in the briefing info, and it doesn't seem like I can request it from the tower via the radio menu. Is it available anywhere? Dash,Polder Posted July 9 Posted July 9 HUD will supply the required information, it gives above sea level altitude and also feeds you above ground altitude, so parked that one is telling you current true field elevation. Dial your altimeter to match it.
KC23 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 After this sim becomes a hit and I'm sure it will. I so can't wait to see what happens when they know they have a hit on their hands. I bet we see some very cool stuff being added. 1

Someone else has those types of planes covered already anyway... Next is the Pacific, there is so much in that theater that has never been properly covered. Edited July 12 by BlitzPig_EL
