Dash,Polder Posted June 26 Posted June 26 The new main mission map is fantastic, love the brand new radial and flight route marker tools, the quick comm marker system is really well done beyond any expectations I had. Incredible work. If you want to get it VR usable, you can reduce it's size and make it cockpit friendly just like the old map in Great Battles. It will also eliminate that nausea induced in the main hanger when floor slides along the outer margins. You can change the size and curvature, and perceived distance by manually tinkering with the startup.cfg in your game/data folder. Under [Key = graphics] heading change, or_hud_rad = will put more curve in your map making it more like an open map inside your cockpit, changed mine to 0.30000 which puts a nice curve and more distance on it. or_hud_size = Will reduce the maps size, can confirm it works down to 0.40000 which fits very nice in a fast moving jet giving lots of peripheral vision for terrain avoidance while navigating. I find the mini maps not very usable in long distance navigation flying missions like strike. Oh, and in the upper right corner there are more handy bonus features, like building your squad and getting them tied directly into your own squads mapping system. Fantastic stuff, I got plans for this.... 1
