I want the smoke go off after so so many minutes(set to 30 seconds for testing)

I've followed this as much as possible

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Place the Smoke Effect:
    • Open the Effects tab on the right-hand panel.
    • Select a smoke effect (e.g., signalsmoke_red, signalsmoke_green, or a landfire effect).
    • Click on the map to place the effect.
    • Right-click the placed effect and check Linked Entity in its properties box. (This allows logic MCUs to interact with it). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  2. Set Up the Trigger:
    • Go to the MCU (Mission Control Units) tab and select Triggers.
    • Choose Mission Begin (to activate it right away) or a Check Zone / Timer (to trigger it conditionally). [1]
  3. Add the Command:
    • Go to the MCU tab and select Command.
    • Choose Effect and place it near your smoke effect.
    • Open the Effect's properties and set the action to Start.
    • Right-click and Object Link the Command: Effect MCU to the Smoke Effect. [1, 2, 3]
  4. Link Everything Together:
    • Object Link your Trigger (e.g., Mission Begin) to the Command: Effect MCU. [1]
However I can't object link timer to the command effect, only target link.

I have my timer target linked to the mission begin trigger, but no green smoke shows up after 30 seconds.
