Is there a way to turn off the pilot model in the cockpit?

So far I have not seen a setting for that.  I don't care for it, and it's just one more thing that my card has to deal with.

Yes, its in the setting menu options somewhere, and I beat you to it, lol.

The head restrictions caused by pilot bodies are going to lead me into shutting off VR boundaries, insufferable small and restrictive.  They didn't put any movement into the bodies and tried to pin you into position.

Yes, something like that.

I turned it off too, thought it looked very neat in the promotional material but once you're sitting there yourself it's a bit of a hassle.

No key for this. Only Settings > Graphics > Enable/Disable Body Pilot (left side).

It's under:

SETTINGS > GRAPHICS > VISUAL EFFECTS > PILOT BODY VISIBILITY > ENABLED/DISABLED

(At least as of June 27, 2026)

Now I'd love to know if there's a way to hide the stick, ideally as a toggle.

it is very very, bad for us with vr! get that body out of here!! ASAP!
