[GR]Tankie Posted June 25 Posted June 25 So setting up our Korea server and have found that only one instance of Dserver can be used so we have to choose between GB or Korea, would it be possible for the Dev's to look in to this
[GR]Tankie Posted June 26 Author Posted June 26 Cancel this, forgot you needed a separate ip address for the second server. That has solved running 2 instances for the dserver
Ramstein Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I tried stopping the IL-2 Box Dserver (Stopped and closed), and tried running the IL-2 Korea Dserver, and the Korea Dserver will not work, so it needs separate authentication on same computer. (not running both at same time). NO way to ask in the forums, guess they are not ready yet. I see lots of server up on multiplayer, I flew one a couple... so they got it going.
[GR]Tankie Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 Hope this get sorted soon as we have to make the choice of run korea or GB not both 😞
[GR]Tankie Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 Tried that from 28100 to 28101 and 28000 to 28001 but missions fail to load gets to 83% then kicks back to the server selection lobby
Habu Posted June 27 Posted June 27 That's fine, but do you open your firewall with the new port ? Here is an example of my server : Great Battle : DownloaderPort = 28100 TCPPort = 28000 UDPPort = 28000 Korea : DownloaderPort = 28101 TCPPort = 28001 UDPPort = 28001
[GR]Tankie Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 Yes all firewall rules in place both in defender and on the server control panel
Habu Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Ok, maybe your problem is not a network problem. Do you host on a dedicated PC, or is it the same PC you use to fly ? I want to know if you build your mission on a PC, and copy it on another to host the mission.
[GR]Tankie Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 The dserver is on a separate server in a data centre in Manchester, the missions are normally made on one of our local machines then copied over and resaved on the server via the ME This is what the server has it's not a vm but a physical machine
LuftManu Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Hello! I just did a test and it works? just different ports 🙂 Just like in GB with various instances and different ports. Big hugs! Rig: RTX 5090 ASUS TUF / Ryzen 9850 X3D /Gigabyte X870E Pro X3D Motherboard / 48 GB DDR5 Teamgroup 8000 MT/s / MSI 321 URX QD-OLED 32" 4K
[GR]Tankie Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Looks like it was something screwy with the defender firewall, disabled that and all working through the data centers firewall Gotta love mircoslop
Habu Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Tankie, which OS do you have on your dedicated server ? I have Windows server on mine. I'm not a big fan of disabling the windows firewall.
[GR]Tankie Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Windows server 2019, I'm not a fan of disabling it either but it got it working
[GR]Tankie Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Here is a copy of the rules: inbound rules.txt outbound rules.txt I can't find any reason as to why defender was blocking anything
Habu Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I have Windows server 2019 too. To simplify the rule, i open on the application dserver, and not on the port itself. I had to open ports on the data centers firewall too. Then, it should work.
[GR]Tankie Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Turned it back on and now it's all working, something very strange is going on but at least it works. Thanks Habu
