You import them into a map you are working on in the Mission Editor. If you are not making a mission, you do not need to install or import the files.

If you have to ask, this is not for you 😛

You are performing an import via: File > Import from file.

My point was that the mission editor is not really something for a beginner.

How do you propose one becomes not a "beginner" then?

Ah, its just that wording like that could make new players feel a bit unwelcome in the community, even if that wasnt your intention.

The mission editor manual from Great Battles applies to almost all the current features in Korea. There are only a few additional things to consider that are not included. Mission builders that have been around IL2 for a while are a pretty helpful lot, but you need to learn the basics from the manual first before you can expect to get answers for every question. No one has the time to tutor 1 on 1 with something like this. There is 10 years worth of experience and discussion on the old forum and in JimTM's outstanding ME manual.

It's called "Mission Logic" for a reason. If you take it step by step, before long you will get it figured out and then it's not really hard to use at all, just tedious. That never goes away.

Play the game quite a bit before you touch the editor.
