Starting a mission OUTSIDE of the plane

As the title states, is there a setting to start the mission as the pilot standing outside?

I think this opens up lots of possibilities for the more story driven missions.

And, silly question, but once out of the plane, ctlE, how do you enter back?

Not yet that I am aware of. I think that will be implemented from "Cold Start" in the advanced plane properties, if that is going to be an option. So far that does not do anything other than start you in the cockpit with the engine off.

Walk back to the point that the animation of the pilot dismounting the plane stopped and press ctlE.
