I dont think there is a game setting to turn TrackIR on or off. The game automatically detects it.

afaik pilot head limits depends on your TrackIR profile, not an in-game setting.

FOV can be set individually for each plane cockpit and game will remember your setting. To do this use trackIR keybindings to 'centre view' then without moving 'pause' trackIR. With view paused use game buttons to zoom FOV in or out to where you want then save this position with 'save current corrections in head snap position' which is under 'Pilot head control'. (LSht+F10 is the default keybind).  Unpause TiR and you're good to go.

For me a simpler option is to turn off trackir, start a mission with your pilot's head in its default position and then correct it or the fov.

On the trackir software there is a button on the right top corner called "update games list" or something like that. See if it works.

Don't forget to set a center button as well.

Not saying it will suit you as is because your profile is very much subjective to your personal taste but might get you started. Place in C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles and then you should be able to go into "titles" in the TrackIR GUI and select this profile to use for IL2 and then you can modify as you see fit. There are some alternatives as well in TrackIR setup youtube videos.

Some examples. 2nd one is DCS but it still applies to a large degree.
