Frequent_Flyer Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Hello All, When I try to open the BOS mission editor, a dialogue box opens claiming " IL-2 BOS editor or BOS Game is already started ". If I disregard and enter the editor it does not save the changes I make. Specifically, to the custom skins I select. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
Flashy Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) Check that there isnt another instance of it running in your task manager (Right click the task bar, then go to Task Manager). Sometimes the editor closes but doesnt fully close, and its still actually running in the background and you need to close it manually in the Task Manager. Otherwise, just restart your computer when you get that error and that should also fix it. Edited June 12 by Flashy
Frequent_Flyer Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 Thank you for the follow up Flashy. Unfortunately, this was not the issue.
Frequent_Flyer Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 Still completely baffled, I use the ME to make a new mission, and the mission does not appear in game. None of the changes I make to existing mission appear in game. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just a question, sorry: are the owner of the player's plane of the selfmade mission? I ask, because in the ME you can choose all GB planes as player's planes, but in the game itself you can fly only with planes that belong to modules that you have purchased. (for AI controlled planes you can choose all planes)

Send over your mission so we can check it (Also note from above suggestions Single Mission or Deathmatch mission, these can only be seen/launched from their respective folders ) Edited June 20 by SodsLaw PC Spec - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor - System Memory: 2x16GB COR VENG DDR5 6000 C30 - MOBO: 3XS TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI - GPU: XFX SWIFT 9070XT TFan 16GB - Win11: 25H2 Latest patch - PSU: Corsair RMe 750w VR: Quest 3 128 - Res: 4704x2528 - Monitor res: 4K - 2D game Res: 4K - Game installation path: E:\IL2SeriesBETA - X52 Throttle Quadrant - Saitek Pro Flight Rudder pedals - WinCtrl Orion2 F16 with Shaker, WINCTRL PTO 2 Combat Panel.
Frequent_Flyer Posted June 20 Author Posted June 20 Good afternoon, Kraut1 and SodsLaw The missions are single player missions. I believe have figured out the issue. I copied and pasted my Mission and Skins files to a file on my desktop in preparation of a clean download/reinstallation of IL-2 Great Battles. However, when I opened up the ME, it opened the Mission files saved to my desktop rather than the in-game Missions file. So, when I started the game and choose a mission I had changed or a newly made mission, neither were saved " in game ". Thank you both for your follow up. I have deleted the files from my desktop, once I copied and pasted into the clan reinstall and all is well. 1
