TheDoctor Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Welcome to the initial announcement for a brand-new server for multiplayer IL-2:Korea! Iron Front: Korea will be a PvP IL-2: Korea multiplayer server built around a living frontline that changes based on players' accomplishments in each mission. Players will battle over a wide variety of frontline objectives, including but not limited to tank platoons, observation posts, anti-aircraft emplacements, artillery batteries, factories, fortified positions, naval targets, radar emplacements, and other tactical objectives. The overarching objective will be to destroy enemy aircraft and ground targets while protecting your own. Every strike and kill will help shape the battlefield and influence the next stage of the battle! Here is a short summary of what features to expect: A full statistical tracking and database system similar to what IL-2: GB MP players have come to expect, with squadron reports and other features Diverse ground and naval objectives Balanced air-to-ground loadouts and spawning locations A living frontline that moves based on player actions Voice comms Achievements and player recognition Both AI and player-controlled ground-controlled intercept and And much, much more to come! The goal is to create a great place to be for fun and fulfilling gameplay in this next generation of IL-2—whether you're a dedicated fighter pilot, a squadron looking for a place to fly, a mud-mover, or simply looking for an immersive and competitive experience. With Early Access for IL-2 Korea beginning on June 25th with support for dedicated MP servers, our aim is to have the initial Iron Front: Korea alpha operational as soon as possible after the EA period opens. Stay tuned for development updates after the game enters Early Access. We will need YOU to help test our frameworks and mission logic during Early Access! https://discord.gg/MRzQVeXnZN Feel free to submit suggestions in our suggestion forum, debate others' suggestions, open a ticket if you have questions, or just get hyped for Korea's EA opening as we get closer! Our Suggestions forum in the Discord is already open, and we encourage everyone to share their thoughts. It will be the best way to categorize suggestions that we receive from all of you! Each one will be read and considered both on our server and in this forum. Debate, discuss, and help us lay the groundwork for the best experience possible! Excited to share more after the EA period begins. See you in the skies. --Doc 12 3 Ryzen 9 9950X3D 64gb DDR5 at 6000MHZ RTX 5090 Founder's Edition MSI X870E Pro Wifi NVME SSDs Flat screen setup: LG 32 inch 1440p VR: Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop and Wired Connection

IRRE_Axurit Posted June 12 Posted June 12 In the features section, you mention voice communication. Will SRS be functional? And "Achievements and player recognition"—do you mean a stats site or the best in-game player? Thanks

SRS unknown, that will probably be more clear after EA start. But if it works then yes, SRS will be active 28 minutes ago, IRRE_Axurit said: And "Achievements and player recognition"—do you mean a stats site or the best in-game player? Both. A statistics site and automatic player recognition for "ace" flights and lots of kills or lots of bombed targets, etc. More to come!😀 3 Ryzen 9 9950X3D 64gb DDR5 at 6000MHZ RTX 5090 Founder's Edition MSI X870E Pro Wifi NVME SSDs Flat screen setup: LG 32 inch 1440p VR: Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop and Wired Connection

TheDoctor Posted July 3 Author Posted July 3 Second Open Alpha Run - Iron Front: Korea Dynamic Campaign Alpha v0.1.2 Hello everyone ! The second iteration of alpha testing is (tentatively) planned to go live this Sunday about mid afternoon EST time, and will run into the night for at least 8-10 hours. Loads of new features enabled: Early Warning Radar reports (both text in game chat and transmitted to you over SRS), SRS communications and auto connect, the Neutral buffer zone at the frontline, payload restrictions fixed, cold starts fixed, and everything detailed in the changelog and much more. The map has been GREATLY expanded in terms of size and objective count. Objectives have been left small and relatively easy to destroy intentionally to promote destruction for our testing purposes. The playing area now represents a much larger portion of the Korean peninsula with more airfields per side. The frontline engine is ACTIVE!! The server will automatically restart and move the front line every two hours. SRS will be on. Standard coalition locked radio. Player limit has been set to the maximum of 84. NDBs are enabled at airfields for navigation - I will post a guide on which channels are which fields on Sunday. Please report any issues as they come. And feel free to make suggestions. Stoked to hop in and fly with you all again. Our max player count last time was about 22; let's see if we can beat it. Need to continue stress testing the hardware - as always, feel free to ask me any questions. 1 Ryzen 9 9950X3D 64gb DDR5 at 6000MHZ RTX 5090 Founder's Edition MSI X870E Pro Wifi NVME SSDs Flat screen setup: LG 32 inch 1440p VR: Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop and Wired Connection
