Ramstein Posted June 11 Posted June 11 (edited) my il-2 no longer works,, thanx il-2 you frakked it up! It's not my install because I have it on 2 computers, and neither ones works! neither are steam versions. one is the regular version, the other is the Server version. they say there is an update, but never look for an update, and just demand an updated and fail. part of the failed message: openxr cal failed, aborting. c/projects/openovr/drvopenxr form factor unavailable Edited June 11 by Ramstein

Is your headset connected via virtual desktop or link cable? Are you able to launch not in vr?
Ramstein Posted June 11 Author Posted June 11 (edited) this is from my other computer almost identical components (except has old Nvidia 1060 video card): This only has the IL-2 Dserver files, not full game, separate il-2 account. Ramstein Posted June 11 Author Posted June 11 (edited) I did not mess any computer before this happened, and it will not update on either win11 computer. my Quest 3 is only used on my main computer, I only use the other computer to run dedicated servers for il-2 (DSERV) and dcs server (no graphics versions). Plus the other computer is used by my wife, and she never messes with any files. I only use a linked cable. The other computer no vr headset is used, as it is not setup for gaming (has old very old video card (Nvidia 1060, wife only used word processing) in it, so not possible to game with it. I went to check il-2 for the upcoming weekend for flying and got failed updates. They both have failed updated, so can't blame the computers at the same time. My computer CPU 13900 CPU, Nvidia 5070 ti oc (factory oc) 1 year old.. Asus Z790 motherboard. 5TB of Storage SSD's. 64GB Ram. Been gaming since 1990. Quest 3 (new). Microsoft Defender firewall and Virus protection, No Norton. Edited June 11 by Ramstein

I don't use vr on the other computer why did it fail and reject the update? makes no sense. plus I know many others I fly with in a squad and theirs continues to work. Edited June 11 by Ramstein
Ramstein Posted June 12 Author Posted June 12 I ended up uninstalling and re-installing... it funny it messed up when the last patch update dropped 7.008. Spent countless hours working on it. no clue what got messed up. Back running the way it should. IL-2 Dserver (separate account with dedicated server) on other computer, no reinstall was needed, somehow unjammed it.
