Thx! EA for two IL-2 BoX bombers was also supposed to begin in June. Although this isn't Korea.

No way, surely they want all the attention on what they are delivering now. I expect a video showing us much more of the actual game than before.

Personally, I've always liked Friday since it's the end of the week and it just feels like a such a great way to start the weekend. Timing-wise they were usually released right when I get back from work and am on my own laptop, which adds to the feeling. However it's not the end of the world if they're moved to Tuesdays; the main thing is that they get released in the first place 😉

This part was very interesting...

 Aerial combat between these Soviet aircraft and the American piston fighters represented in the game — and with the DLC taken into account, there will be several of them — the best aircraft of the US Air Force and US Navy from the previous era, is an extremely captivating spectacle.

F4U Corsair, and hopefully the A-1 Skyraider.

We already know the Corsair and Panther. We have 3 more left. For me the A-1 Skyraider is a must. The other two... I hope the Sea Fury (not american, but a fantastic superprop) and the last one I'm not so sure.

If they're going to do the Sea Fury, they've got to do the Firefly, IMO, and there's your five. I hope that's the route they go.

I agree... that the Firefly should at least be there as an AI aircraft or a static model. I suspect it isn't a priority though.

The F7F did though... briefly. Two A2A kills against the Uber Po-2.

The F7F was also used as a night bomber and for close air support in Korea. It would need the modelling of the SCR-720 radar (which was a relatively simple radar developed from the WWII AI series radars). Of course, that radar would also allow modelling the F-82G...

...but I think we're getting off topic?

Why on Mother Earth would they add some planes that never ever flew near Korea???? Like the Czech's 11 (eleven!) CS-92/93 ???? or the 47's that never ever flew in Korea ????

Wouldn't be nicer to focus on the planes actual available from the early access, to dream of those that will come in the DLC and maybe hope for some that actually FLEW in the specified theater of operations ?

Before they're going to do any what-if scenarios, there are plenty of aircraft that actually flew in Korea.

Yes, I agree, simply tought it would be easy to port Il2- GB to Il-2 Korea...

impossible: different engines, different DirectX. Different sim. Everything has to be done over. from scratch.

It is impossible, and has been said numerous times.

Korea is an entirely new upgrade on GB, and aircraft have to be remade outright if they are to ever cross titles.
