I'm close to buy this, but then I fire Il2 and think, which game modes will be included in IL2:Korea? the same as the original Il-2? I mostly prefer single missions I can tune a bit for my taste, but Il2 missions are mostly canned, dogfight, ground attack and CAS with the plane starting from the air and close to zero customization, If we add a very hard to use mission editor, my gameplay modes reduces to a possible semi dynamic campaign and that's it?

Thanks for clarificationg this.

Sorry? excuse me If I disagree in that policy, game is in preorder, I can understand you have 5 planes as a hidden token, but not telling potential buyers about the core of the gameplay is a huge error.

Preordering the game has been a thing since last year.

Right now, the team is announcing specifically the start of Early Access — June 25.
The team will share information about the full release and the next stages of the game's launch separately in official news. I'm sure more infromation will appear before the Early Access starts so you get to know more.

Kind regards,

So, that is the answer with regard to early access. The exact timeline for which gameplay modes will be released is still being set. I suspect that this is likely because they are taking a bit more time to complete the career mode... but that is just a guess.

Regarding your original question - the career mode will allow the player to make some adjustments to the mission. You can read about it here:

https://media.il2-korea.com/news/dd_40

In addition to that semi-dynamic career mode - there will also be the traditional scripted single missions, scripted campaigns (potentially with some new features), a new version of the quick mission builder, and multiplayer will be included in the final product. All of these features have been announced in past development diaries.

He's not saying they won't ever tell it, just that they won't tell right now 😉In 3 weeks, Early Access should become available and I'm sure you'll have your answers then. Possibly even before that, as new Dev Blogs are released.

In any case, as Avimimus says, there will be similar options as right now. I expect there to be relatively few single missions at first, but as mission writers get to work, there'll surely be plenty of them before long 🙂

I think that you may be confused. With the current game, there is already a way to create single missions from within the game, but also a separate editor that is much more powerful, but also not that easy to learn/use. Nothing all that significant will really change in this regard.

Thanks for the explanation, I really don't care about the timeline, but what is planned to be included. It would not be important If the price is the same before and after release, but I really hate leaps of faith, specially regarding core features.

For the early access, some of it, we'll find out what later.

Thanks, seems I will need to wait to learn If the quick mission builder is improved or is the severely limited version we have now in Il2:WW2.

The main change with Quick Missions (renamed the Task Planner, but the same general idea) is that it is directly integrated into the game. In this mode, you can set up virtually any type of air battle as simply and conveniently as possible in the map location you are interested in, while detailing various parameters of the situation and the route.

The taxiing system at airfields has also been created from scratch. This has enabled taxiing from parking in Career mode and in the Task Planner—something that appears in the series for the first time.

So you confirm we can create a quick mission and fly it from take off to landing?
