kraut1 Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Is it normal that these firing-points are not shown in the awards or is just my mission design not correct? (only a general question)
kraut1 Posted June 10 Author Posted June 10 (edited) My current workaround: In my Mod the small WW1 british 4.5" howitzer is defined as a dummy gun with 0 ammo. each of this dummy guns placed inside a working firing point, not visible from outside. when the firing point is directly hit the dummy gun is destroyed too and it is listed in the Awards of the mission / campaign as a destroyed cannon. Still to be optimized: armor, required impulse to be destroyed of the dummy gun to be adjusted that firing point and dummy gun are destroyed by a similar explosion... Edited June 10 by kraut1
JollyJack Posted July 26 Posted July 26 dummy gun ... you mean just that it's not loaded and wont shoot i guess ..

The intention is that when the real firing point target is destroyed by a heavy bomb hit simultaneously the the small howitzer located invisible inside the firing point is destroyed too, and the sucess is listed in the Mission / campaign MIsssion Awards. In my Gulf of finland EMG mod this combinations of firing points + dummy guns are already implemented in the templates. All you have to do is to create a coastal gun attack mission (with min. 500kg bombs load) with EMG and to fly....
JollyJack Posted July 28 Posted July 28 For the wish list .... guess even if used virtually my PC won't survive it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Slam_(bomb) 1
