Issues with AI turret gunners.

Even though this has been a problem for years, I don't want to assume the devs are aware of it, so I figured I'd make this post.

 

Very often, it seems that an ai turret gunner will not reload his gun.  I've noticed in particularly in planes such as the A-20.  I have had to go from flying the plane, to the turret position just so I can hit the reload button and then go back to flying the plane.

 

Also... and this is an even bigger issue- can you please increase the skill level of the ai gunners?  and maybe make them equal across all planes?

There is a popular video that was posted on the forum years ago, where a 109 pulled up to the low 6 of a Pe-2 and got killed right away.  Then it shows a Yak pilot pulling up to the low 6 of a He111 and the gunner is just firing in all directions and never hits the Yak, no matter how easy the Yak makes it.

 

Many ai gunners are just so bad that even a near blackout drunk person could do a better job.  Anytime I am flying Axis, and see an A-20, I make ZERO considerations for the danger of getting shot by the rear turret.  I approach no differently than I would if I were to attack a C-47.

 

Back in 2018, the Pe-2 was famous for getting an instant pilot kill on an Axis plane no matter how fast or what angle they came in at.  People complained.  So then the devs nerfed the ai gunners so badly, that they became completely worthless.  

 

I am asking you to please, PLEASE make the ai turret gunners act somewhat realistic, AND keep the skill levels equal among all planes.  I see no reason why a Pe-2 gunner is so much better than an He111 gunner.

I'll check it out, but 90% of my time is spent on multiplayer where mods are not allowed.
