1C Game Studios LukeFF Posted Friday at 06:07 PM 1C Game Studios Posted Friday at 06:07 PM Hey everyone! In "Korea: IL-2 Series," we decided to expand our player training approach by adding a missing intermediate step. For each aircraft, we created several exam missions that will give players their first challenge, testing and consolidating their skills. Leifr Posted Friday at 06:59 PM Posted Friday at 06:59 PM I must say, as per one of the recent dev blogs, the ground texture really does look much improved in the last month or two - it looks great! One of problems with GB, in my opinion, is that the ground can often look very muddy and ill-defined. It simply looks great in Korea. 4
Aapje Posted Friday at 07:05 PM Posted Friday at 07:05 PM Are these just missions tailored to a specific task and difficulty, or is there extra support given within the mission themselves, for (new) players to get up to speed?
Swoose Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Does anyone at 1C Games know the US Army’s Battalion Training Management System? 😉Very pleased to see “task, condition, and standard”, a component of that system, in these training qualification missions, an excellent addition to IL-2: Korea. I still hope the game will have tutorials-and perhaps a training mission- on how to use the gunsights on the various aircraft.
Lofte Posted yesterday at 12:04 AM Posted yesterday at 12:04 AM The stamp is great. But what about giving out qualification badges for exams? That's much more authentic and interesting. Maybe something like these: Soviet US 1

=FI=Blue2 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The exams sound like a great idea for intermediate training. They obviously have a basis in realism, too, since military pilots have always been put through similar training progressions when moving from one aircraft to another one. (Except obviously in a few desperate times of war.) In this particular period of history, the planes are SO different from one to the other that taking time to learn each one is going to be really important if you hope to survive for long and perform decently too. So 👍!
AndreiTomescu Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago A wonderful addition, this exam step. You all remember Kursant/Kadet scripted campaign, right? Same idea, taken to a new level, integrated into game directly, perfect. A new era, new scenario, really makes sense to do some training. Actually I see this as a way of continuing the GB series. Like, let's say you are a ww2 veteran, called back for duty. ......Upon returning home after ww2, your wife informs you that, despite never coming home in the past 4 yrs, you have 2 kids, 1 and 2 yrs old. Really motivated by this....surprise to go on on another tour of duty, you apply for returning to active status Now, no matter eastern bloc or western one, a ww2 veteran had to be preferred for his huge combat experience. But those guys that stayed in the airforce kept contact with the new planes, tactics and also never lost touch of the stick. If you were out of the game for 5-6 years, you had to do.....what? TRAINING! Being on your old Mustang, Lavochkin or switching to those new planes with a rocket in their....aaa...rear, training was mandatory. Also to pass the flight clearance. Wow. This add-add-on to the game is brilliant. Gives me immersion! Makes sense! Also keeps us busy to give devs some time to perfect the other modes, like career.
