From the mission: Lightning Strike to Lozhki (video 1) Start the attack in Vazuza River sector at Kuznechikha, Rzhev Region November 26, 1942 Through the night of 25-26 November, the Russian 6th Tank Corps crossed the Vazuza River to get into position for attack. The attack began at 2:00 pm as the 170 tanks finally rolled forward into and through the combat formations of 247th Rifle Division, which was already struggling for possession of several German village strongpoints. Orders were to reach the Rzhev-Sychevka road at all costs. Advancing with three brigades abreast, the tanks rolled forward in tandem, crushing German resistance, and bypassing German strong points. Anti-tank fire bit at the flanks of the columns, and packs of German infantry resisted, withdrew, or dug-in in the small farm villages astride and adjacent to the brigades' path. On the corps' right flank, 22nd Tank Brigade headed for Bolshoy Kropotovo and Lozhki. In the center, 200th Tank Brigade headed toward Nikonovo and the Rzhev-Sychevka road. 100th Tank Brigade covered the left flank.

Orders: Attack toward Lozhki. Capture (or bypass) the villages of Arestovo, Nikonovo, Malyi Kropotovo, Berezovka, and Lozhki. Do not get bogged down in the villages. You will command the Lead #1 KV-1 tank. Destroy enemy defenses in the villages. Capture Berezovka to have mission success.

From the mission: Lightning Strike to Lozhki (video 2) The mission continues, starting at Nikonovo, Rzhev Region.  Orders: Continue the attack toward Lozhki. Capture (or bypass) enemy strongpoints. Do not get bogged down in the villages. You will command the Lead #1 KV-1 tank. Destroy enemy defenses in the villages. Capture Berezovka to have mission success.
