I noticed a strange thing the other day. Whilst bumming about on FC I wanted to take some screenies and recordings (using nvidia's game overlay) but the key stroke I had assigned to these functions didn't work? No matter how many times I pressed them, fast or slow, forceful pressure or not. Like pushing those pedestrian crossing buttons when you're in a hurry. Nothing!

It seems now you need an inconvenient key combo rather than an easier single key. YOU CANNOT MAP A SINGLE KEY ANY MORE TO ANY FUNCTION! What the heck! Why?

what version?

I think I have 11.0.7.247 and can set single hotkeys:

...do you know how to record without including the mouse cursor?

Yeah I just use the assigned key. Who wants to frig around with the mouse when in the heat of battle. That'd be like clickable cockpits. 🙃

Anyway, the issue has resolved itself to some extent. I can now assign single keystrokes to record and take a pic. But the keys I used before (up and down arrow, for convenience and easily found) can no longer be assigned.

Arrowkeys do not work me either. Some "special" keys can be used for hotkeys, others do not.

What I meant, the mouse pointer shows up in the recordings. That is not a cinematic experience for the viewer.

When using VR the pointer is not even visible in the headset but in the recording it is there. See example video.

I see. VR doesn't show it!  What a bummer. I watched your vid and once I saw that mouse pointer, that's all I could look at. Like in a trance. I tried not to, but it was always there, watching, loitering!

I generally try to keep the mouse pointer off screen at all times unless absolutely necessary. But sometimes I forget. 🙂

Hmm maybe I should make another fabulous vid, a cinematic experience like nothing before! It's been too long. The people have waited long enough! I shall keep the pointers in mind. But no, perhaps I shouldn't. I should leave the legacy intact. It's like movie sequels years apart. Never works.
