The_Shadow Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Hi, I'm sorry, but I just started getting error messages in GIMP that I've never seen before. I've been working on a skin, adding Alpha channel mask, and installing into my skins folder for a couple of weeks, and it's been working fine. Today, when trying to add alpha and save it as a .dds file, I get a message: "Calling error for procedure 'gimp-drawable-type': Procedure 'gimp-drawable-type' has been called with an invalid ID for argument 'drawable'. Most likely a plug-in is trying to work on a layer that doesn't exist any longer." It comes up when I try to export the file as a .dds. The settings are: BC3/DXT5 compression, default format, save type - all visible layers, generate mipmaps - on, transparent index - 0, filter - box, wrap mode - default. I get the error message, and when I click OK, it will save the .dds file to the location anyway, but without the mask layer. If I changed any settings by accident, I don't know which ones. And before today, I was able to work on and save my skin file just fine. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks for any help.
EMS_Kurtis_VR Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Same thing for me. I suspect there is a link with the latest update of Gimp, which was carried out at the end of april (3.2.4), because just before this, I had no issue with the compression process.
