KG_S_Kalle_Kalutz82 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Hello people In the old forum, before it moved here, there was a section about IL-2 CoD/Tobruk and here its nearly empty. As I really want to fly over the desert in italian planes, I hoped to find here something, regarding to Multiplayer Events for Tobruk. I can remember, I flew few times on such events and it was always fun. Off course I would like to play single player campaigns too, but unfortunally there is none? I would love to fly the G.50 and I asked an AI if there is any G.50 campaign available for Tobruk. AI said there should be a custom made one, but nor I can find it here in the new or in the old forum. Any help is welcomed 🙂 Best regards

Cliffs of Dover as a brand has been sold to Fulqrum Publishing. They hold the brand and are responsible for all sorts of support for it. Game - IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz Edition 1

In case you are interested, here is a link to Yo-Yo's FMB guide - it covers how to use the FMB and how to create a custom campaign: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34051 You'd be able to edit an existing campaign to fly as the G.50 or you can create your own missions (it is quite easy to make simple missions). KG_S_Kalle_Kalutz82 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Thank you guys for the infos and links. I just had a quick overlook into the topics and I will try it out. Hopefully I can manage that, as I am not the brightest in regards to files and stuff normally 🫣😆
Aelius Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Even though I’ve deleted the decals layer in the .dds template for the Bf109F-4 in the Battle of Stalingrad, it continues to overwrite my plane modifications in Desert Wings: Tobruk (the inclusion of red wing tabs, for example). I’m doing something wrong, of course, but don’t know what. Can wiser heads help?

Mysticpuma Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Pilots! Team Fusion continues work on IL-2 Cliffs of Dover and we wanted to share some things we are working on with you. Firstly, thank you to the new round of Beta testers who were recently inducted into the internal testing group, your help is much appreciated. Something that has received steady attention over the last few months is the Avro Lancaster. It will be part of the TF 6.5 DLC which is some way off, but we’re sure that many of you will be impressed by the current progress of our Lanc. Check out the fantastic work from our modelling team below! Our map team has been building the new 1940 Channel map for the past year, and recently they have identified all the Atlantic Wall bunkers and locations to be implemented. The map hasn’t been split into two versions up to this point (1940 Channel map and 1942 Dieppe map) in case we need to add last-minute environmental changes such as radar installations, fixing imperfections in cliff faces, etc. This avoids duplicating the effort, so we try to make sure they are identical before the final stage. 90% of the work has been to identify what needs to change, and updating/improving the Channel map. Our lead programmer has also released a new Beta version for testers. We have stripped down the maps piece by piece to identify the VR crash to desktop bugs. The solution is proving elusive but we persevere and the team is confident that it will be found sooner rather than later. We are also planning to merge the feature of managing controllers soon. This fixes the Steam Cloud issue and prevents the long-standing problem with losing bindings. It is ready, but we will wait for our lead programmer to come back from his time off to merge it. Our main mission maker reports the following on the Battle of Britain day-by-day project: “So far 468 individual sorties have been created between July 4th and August 8th 1940, representing RAF Fighter Command, Bomber Command and Coastal Command and Luftwaffe fighter and bomber forces. Every sortie is accessible to the player at any time. The player can choose to play each sortie in any order they wish in any present aircraft. You may also choose to explore and follow a particular squadron or gruppe, day-by-day as they participated in various actions. Each sortie is prefaced by news about yesterday's actions both over Britain and around the world for context. Weather is accurate and based on The Daily Weather Report prepared by the Air Ministry Meteorological Office four times daily from observations throughout the UK. The environment that you fly through has been researched and is accurate as possible”. Additionally, we wanted to state that despite repeated efforts we have been unable to gain access to the Cliffs of Dover Steam page in order to reorganise it into something useful. We express our disappointment in this as we had aimed to respond to questions on the community section in an official capacity, but Fulqrum has not been responsive to this idea. TWC_Mic Posted May 28 Posted May 28 TWC Memorial Flight – In Honour of “Fatal Error” Shellie “Buster” Elton Stratton The TWC community would like to invite all members of the IL-2 Cliffs of Dover / flight sim community to a memorial flight in honour of our late Commander and friend, Shellie “Buster” Elton Stratton, known to us all as “Fatal Error,” who sadly passed away at the age of 73. He was the heart of our squad for many years — our Commanding Officer, mission designer, and a passionate flight simmer who dedicated countless hours to building and maintaining the server missions we all enjoyed. Beyond that, he was always ready to help anyone in the community with technical issues, controls, head-tracking setup, and anything else related to flight simulation. He is deeply missed by all of us. Event Details Date: 27th June Server: TWC Server (no password) Flight Times: 1700 UTC 2300 UTC Important Note: All aircraft will spawn “hot,” with engines already running. This is intentional for gameplay flow — if you crash or need to respawn, you will immediately re-enter the mission without having to wait through a full cold start or engine warm-up. This allows everyone to regroup quickly and stay with the formation during the flight. Mission Type This will be a peaceful memorial formation flight. There are no hostile objectives for participants. Although AI aircraft will be present, all pilots are respectfully asked to refrain from firing weapons. This is a remembrance flight, not a combat sortie. So please do not use your weapons. Aircraft & Sides All pilots will fly on the Red side only for this event. A wide selection of aircraft will be available, including Axis aircraft such as the Bf 109, Bf 110, Ju 87 Stuka, etc. The reason Axis aircraft are also assigned to the Red side is because the mission contains Red AI aircraft that will automatically engage any aircraft spawned on the Blue side. To avoid unwanted combat during the memorial flight, all participants must therefore spawn on Red. Please feel free to choose whichever aircraft you would like to fly. Flight Plan Departure: Isle of Wight (three airfields available for spawning) Formation Procedure: To help avoid collisions during takeoff and assembly, all pilots are requested to form up in a clockwise pattern over the Isle of Wight after departure. Please maintain awareness of other aircraft and allow plenty of spacing while the formation builds. Initial Phase: Formation gathering over the Isle of Wight Route: The flight will proceed east along the coast toward Selsey Point. Around Selsey Point, AI Wellington bombers will spawn, providing an ideal formation group to join and escort. From there, the flight will continue along the coast past Dover. Landing: Manston Airfield Community & Commemoration During the flight, TWC Discord voice channels will be open for anyone who wishes to join, talk, and share memories and stories about Fatal Error. This event is about remembrance, camaraderie, and honouring a friend who meant a great deal to many of us in the community. We hope you can join us in giving him the farewell flight he deserves. Blue skies, always. TWC_Mic If there are any questions about the flight, please feel free to reach out. PS: Please share this announcement to help spread the word. For anyone who is unsure what time to show up https://savvytime.com/converter/utc/may-20-2026/5pm here you can convert the UTC time to your local time... 3
