1C Game Studios LukeFF Posted April 17 1C Game Studios Posted April 17 Great job on the I-153 missions. There hasn't been a mission yet where I haven't come back with bullet holes and/or oil all over the windscreen. 😎 1 1
Jaegermeister Posted April 17 Author Posted April 17 Yeah, it’s a tough little plane, and the ground fire is certainly challenging. Fortunately it’s usually not far to base. I really like the I-153, it is reasonably fast, turns on a dime and has a good selection of loadouts. You can really get down low and see exactly what you are shooting at Ryzen 7 7800X3D Raphael 4.2GHz CPU/ 32GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL36 RAM / Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB GDDR6 GPU / ASUS Tuf Gaming B650E MB / 2x 1 TB Samsung 970 EVO+ M.2 HD / MSI 1000 Watt PS / HP Reverb G2 VR / TM Warthog Joystick / Moza MTQ Throttle / Saitek Pro Flight Rudder / MaxFalcon 20 Keypad Emulator / BBI-32 Leo Bodnar USB switch panel / Windows 11
pepper9881 Posted April 17 Posted April 17 It would be great if the briefing indicated your position in the formation. The AI in this game is terrible; If you take a wrong position after taxing, it will simply crash into you from behind 🤪
1C Game Studios LukeFF Posted May 3 1C Game Studios Posted May 3 Close to finishing up "Under Siege" here. Great work, as always. 👍 If I may make a few small suggestions: Though it wouldn't affect the player, it would be nice to see the AI Yak-1 and I-153 flight leaders equipped with a radio. If nothing else, it would help the player locate his flight leader. A few missions with the engine mods would be nice to mix in. Historically, about 150 I-153s were fitted with the M63 engine, and, according to VikS, the M-105PA engine was fitted to the Yak-1 from August 1941 (IIRC I have the latter set to be the default engine from late August / September 1941 in Odessa's career mode). (Or, even better, have these engine mods also mixed into AI planes both here and in the accompanying München campaign). 1 1
Jaegermeister Posted May 3 Author Posted May 3 (edited) Yes, I can make those additions. I didn’t put radios in the I-153s since only the flight leaders had transmitters. The flight pilots did have receivers, but I was picturing them all announcing their take off and landings, which would be a little odd. I will add it in when you are in the lead plane at least. I will also add in a note about what your position in formation is for Under Siege since those 2 subjects coincide. i will look at the engine mods too. I remember reading about that, but completely forgot to see how it applied to these Black Sea Fleet planes. Edit, I just did a quick AI inquiry and it looks like the Yak-1s in Odessa should indeed have the M-105PA engine upgrade. I specifically remember looking at that mission too. I must not have saved the changes correctly. mrtomek Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I've just finished Operation Munchen campaign. This was really excellent and interesting campaign. The only thing I was a little bit dissapointed was that I had been hoping for some clashes with new Lagg-3s.4 and Yak-1s.23. Instead there were mainly I-16 we had been fighting for last 10 years in Il-2GB. Nonetheless it is great campaign and I'm looking forward to more with Bf109E-4 (and more Jabo missions).
