Q. as above. It seems only a few key assignments are shown in tank crew, and the rest is ... where?

So, is there a complete list with all tank crew key assignments, or if not, where do i find them?

Thanks.

Start here: Updated Tank Crew key-binds/commands - General Discussion - IL-2 Sturmovik Forum

For more completeness, I'm attaching the last keymapping list I have:

Key mapping Ver.5.001 pdf.pdf

Most of the tank controls are really aircraft key binds with different names. If you think of a tank as a bomber that can't fly, that's a good start. The gun lock is a "tailwheel"; the hatches are aircraft canopies. The commander's .50 BMG on the Sherman operates like the gun stations in the JU88.

The Churchill has some unique functions, like smoke generators and a side door into the crew compartment. I think its crew door is a "bomb bay"?

I wish I could help more. I use Voice Attack speech-to-text software when I play VR, and to make commands work in VA I had to reassign a lot of keybinds in the sim. Doing that, however, is how I learned how similar the tanks are to aircraft.

Yeah thank you, but I do not use the JS in tank crew, much too inexact compared to the mouse.

Right now I am a bit angry about the key mapping of this SU-122 mobile gun. I do not understand this kind of "explanation" for raising the gun and this 20 lines elevation AT ALL. The whole documentation and setup is lacking intuitive approach and logic!

Here's a version created by one of the best tankers to ever play, Shampoo.  He's an awesome dude too.

I have the X52 Pro HOTAS, and mapped the throttle in game to control forward / brake / reverse. It's simply a matter of running the throttle starting from the middle and then to each extreme setting and back to the middle for it to register. Initially the directions ended up reversed, so I had to try it twice to get it right. On the X52 Pro there are throttle stops at 20% and 80% that make it difficult to make smooth speed transitions in those ranges, but I've learned to use the upper stop to differentiate between creeping into position speed, and running full tilt down the road speed. Coming to a quick halt for a shot is a bit of a dance to not over/under shoot the neutral throttle position.

I have steering set as the Z rotation on the joystick, with the X-Y movements controlling the turret rotation and elevation.

The B button is mapped in game to fire the secondary weapons, with the trigger firing the main gun.
