Hello it's been some weeks since the last update,so  when will we have the template for the La-7 and the Il2 mod 1944?

Наверно еще пару месяцев придётся подождать. Як-3 тоже долго ждали.

Download works. Not sure about the template itself though. Maybe it is some sort of a pre alpha version, since it looks a bit unfinished?

Yeah, it's really a bad template. All the paint layers are merged together. All the weathering layers are merged together. All the panel lines and rivet layers are merged together. The Yak-3 was a similarly poor template. What's the point of giving skinners templates at all if they are so unusable?

It definitly needs a lot of work to turn it into a template, people can actually work with. Not exactly beginner friendly.

I feel you, it could be better, but it still does helps a lot.

I want to paint the Czechoslovak Air Force’s La 7 aircraft, and so far I’ve spent five hours modifying this stencil. I estimate it will take another ten hours or so before it’s usable. Currently, I’ve finished the lower surfaces and the light gray upper surface; I’m working on the dark gray. Actually, I have to create all the layers myself. I decided not to redo the “dirt” but just lighten it in various places.

It’s one of the worst in the game. I’ve only spent more time on the CL.2.

Sure it's a lot of work, and I'm afraid IL-2m44 will be same kind of template if it is published. (I've started working on the camo patterns already). But the weathering layers are the ones that are useful and much more harder to create IMO and I really wish to get those for IL-2m44.  That's why I don't want to bash these latest ones, as I might end up discouraging the template maker.

I understand, but there has to be some degree of criticism. If only as feedback on the finished product. Today’s push for a hyper-correct approach really isn’t the right way to go.

Some templates are absolutely perfect, while others are completely useless. If I turned in a result like the La-7 template at work, I wouldn’t have a job anymore.

Interesting point. The accessibility of these templates has been questioned before. No reaction at all.

If unfiltered feedback is sort of unwelcome or is getting ignored, I don´t see, how they can improve on these templates?

Provided, they want to.

Normal templates, nothing extra,

everything is in place and convenient to use.

What's the noise about?

I don´t know... Compared to the ones published years ago, there might be two or three differences...?

Hello, can someone please explain me why there are green and purple artifacts instead of shadows and how to get rid of them?image.png.52069fdc6c300d229dbc8f78cc81effb.png

Excellent question. One, I´d like to know the answer to too. Some additional information: The effect appears not only in the viewer but in game too.

It is not limited to the La-7 only. I noticed it, creating a skin for the Spitfire Mk XIV (using the official template) as well as on the Jak-3 (using a custom template).

A fresh install of the game didn´t cure the problem. I´m using GIMP btw.

Has anybody noticed this too and, way more important, has found it´s cause / a solution? Appriciate your answers.
