Anybody else using the 2e?

I am! And I had this issue too - but I solved it. I am not sure 100% what the issue was, but I *think* what finally helped was from a reddit thread I can't find any more. I had to disable Direct Mode in SteamVR Devloper Settings, which makes your BSB2e a normal windows screen. Then adjust the screen to its highest resolution. It is different for 90Hz and 75Hz, and I think the switch might break it - when I go to 75Hz in the BSB Utility, SteamVR still says 90Hz until I do the Direct Mode switch. After you adjust the resolution, go back to direct mode. I had to exit SteamVR and unplug in the BSB2 *Base* from my Graphics Card and replug it too. Then everything is properly recognized.

I also recommend to stay with 75Hz in general, unintuitively the image is clearer at the lower refresh rate. I think 90Hz is some sort of diplay overclock thing that smears the image in motion. 75Hz was harder to run for me though, because of the higher resolution. Had to lower the VR Resolution to 75% ingame.

EDIT: I should say that I didn't read the entire thread - and that the misaligned image in my headset wasn't just a Problem with IL-2 Korea. It happened in SteamVR Home too. So at least for me I think this was a BSB2e fault, not IL-2.

After having read the rest of the Thread I am not sure if we were even talking about the same issues. Anyhow, my BSB2e works without any vertical offset 😅

Hi and thanks for replying.

You're referring to what's described in this guide, correct? Are you on an Nvidia or AMD GPU?

So I understand Korea is working correctly for you?

@Scrapmetal did you give this a try already?

Ah yes! I could have sworn I read something in here about someone having issues with *horizontal* misalignment, where part of the image of the left eye is rendered on the right. But I must have mixed up tabs and it was a different post. That was the issue I was having and what the steps above fixed for me. I am on an AMD 9070XT.

But yes, other than that my BSB2e works perfectly fine, I am not experiencing the vertical misalignment issue at all.

Good to know!

Personally I didn't have any issues running GB so I expect Korea to function right away, should I choose to buy it on release.

I hope others will report back and check whether they get both GB and Korea to work or not. Unfortunately it's kinda hard to get all the right information in one place, way too many messages piling up in Discord with little to no management.

Hey @pocketchange

I just tried your exact steps but in IL-2 GB i still have the vertical eye diplopia.
You were talking about Korea, but do you hace IL-2 Great Battles? If so can you test that with your BSB2e to see if your able to play without this issue?

thanks!!
