I have completed the settings for the new Karelia / Leningrad 1943 static front. Because the map is still not 100% completed and further map changes can be expected the settings for the new front are comparable simple in a bit less detailed as usual. The front itself is semi historic with an accuracy of ca. +-5km...10km. Installation: Please download and install Easy Mission Generator v94 by @SYN_Vander: https://forum.il2-series.com/topic/140-il2-great-battles-easy-mission-generator/ https://sites.google.com/view/il2-great-battles-emg/home After EMG is installed please make a copy of the folder and rename it, e.g.: "EMGv94 Karelia 1943" Settings for new 1943 front: EasyMissionGenerator-1943-front-settings-v0.zip New: For Multiplayer Compatibility: Please use this CoopTemplate_KARELIA.Mission for Online / Multiplayer: https://www.mediafire.com/file/aylnkqsry1zhwbx/CoopTemplate_KARELIA+without+success+after+30+seconds.zip/file -Please copy/overwrite the content of the \data and the \template folder of the settings zip into the corresponding folders of your "EMGv94 Karelia 1943". -The installation is completed. Start EMG and choose Karelia Map and now the new front Siege of Leningrad is available: GUI Map in EMG: General Notes for usage: -Many airfields are framed with nearby rows of trees, due to this available space for landing is restricted: -for shorter take offs I have reduced the bomb load of the Bombers and the fuel. -please try out airfields at first with low numbers of bombers to see if take off works. Customized settings in generic template: -Ambient planes are randomnized to make the missions a bit more unpredictable: -ambient AI patrol 60% - ambient AI Attackers 80% -ambient lone wolves 50% -All SP missions are successful after 30 seconds. (for Multiplayer use the optional Karelia Template) -6-gun batteries instead of 8-guns to avoid collisions with nearby trees, forrests... -strongholds with AT-guns -Destroyer 7, gun boat 1024, Torpedo Boat 38 and German Landing boat as patrol ships -Russian convoys for Ladoga with river barges escorted by gun boat 1024 and river gun boat. -And in Karelia Template a Destroyer 7 in Kronstadt that is spawned by random and shells the German Peterhof areaeast of Oranienbaum. The only problem I'm encountering is when I open the mission titled "Dogfight" and choose a plane from one of the German airfields. I spawn in, and just a few seconds later, the mission starts a countdown, followed by a message saying "Stalemate." If you need the mission files, I can send you a ZIP version. Kapteeni45 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Hi. Good job again. Dogfight over Leningrad... Gotta say that this is the first map, that looks like a "living" world. The countryside is filled with small villages and farms. Roads look amazing and they nailed Finnish lakes, swamp, rivers. Plus houses anf factories are very immersive. Not just eastern Europe style grey loghouses. And making missions with EMG and Your modded versions is easy and fun..way better than default quickmission builder (which is not bad either). I have only 1 idea: I have added a small group that all missions are successfully completed after 30 seconds for allied and axis. Here the Karelia Template without this setting: CoopTemplate_KARELIA without success after 30 seconds.zip If this does not work you could try out the default v94 CoopTemplate_GENERIC.Mission (my is modded in respect of random spawned ambient planes and some customized ground targets) Please let me know if it works. I just did a test today, and the server was saying that the mission had an error with the planes. This message was showing every 2 minutes in the chat message. I saw that SYN_Vander is also using that in the latest EMG. Is it possible to verify this with a server? I didn't get any message before, when non-backup AI planes were in the EMG missions. Because my knowledge in respect of multiplayer = 0 I suggest to use the default EMGv94 "CoopTemplate_GENERIC.Mission". If this works in general I could try to create Multiplayer compatible "CoopTemplate_GENERIC.Mission" with my customized target settings. Concerning "backup stuff for the AI planes" I have to admit that I don't know where this option has to be choosen? In EMGv94? Concerning Multiplayer: my internet connection is not configured for Multiplayer and I will not do. But for tests I have created Dogfight and Cooperative Servers just to see if I could start the missions... 1 Quote

If there is a problem with Multiplayer / Karelia in general please ask Vander because he is very experienced in this topic. If the default EMGv94 / Karelia map works in Multiplayer you can try my 1943 front... And as I have suggested please try out the default EMGv94 "CoopTemplate_GENERIC.Mission". Cheers, GenMarkof007 I myself have only worked on EMG Flight Sim templates but I had a look in the TC template for Lapino: -the Front Lines, e.g.: Lines_A seem to be the same as in the flight sim EMG. But you have to consider that tanks are in comparison with planes unbelievable slow, so from my point of view you have to create maybe by copying very small fronts for tanks, maybe ca. 40x40km as it is in the Prokhorovka map. -the Static Group will be similar as in the flight sim EMG too, but this is in general not complex. The rest of the flight sim and TC EMG is very different, you have less settings files and in the templates there are big differences too -You have to analyze the TC EMG and learn to understand how it works. -Altogther seen I suppose that it is possible to adapt it to the Karelia map. -But from my experience with the flight sim EMG I suppose that you have to invest many, many working hours to get a working solution, maybe ca. 20...80hours without any guarantee that it will work. -I myself have already decided for me 2 years ago that I will not start working on TC EMG mods, simply too much work for me... 1 Quote
