In il-2 BoX the pilot has no neck and so checking six requires a combined head turn and lean, which is awkward at best.

Compare Il-2 to DCS which gives you the desired view by applying the lean/neck automatically.

Will Korea give the pilot a neck instead of merely a head on a swivel?

Please consider at least as an option.

Everything is a balance, seems like it could also interfere if one was only interested in looking at the aft side on one of the consoles for a switch hanging on the wall.  I'm thankful I can fly in VR where this isn't a problem, but I'll pull for you.

I prefer the GB way with TrackIr. So as an option is fine, but not globally forced.

Is the above snap views? Pretty sure you can set where each snap view goes to so you should be able to customize where each snap view ends up.

Yeah, I was thinking that - snap views have that feature. But the request is that it be merged with VR.

No, IR head tracking.

It shouldn't be merged in VR, that'd be a disaster with your head swinging outside the cockpit or banging into it.  Your neck is already free and it works correctly in VR as is.  It would also give rise to motion sickness for many players unpinning the views swing from your physical head motion range.

In VR a snap function a few degrees like necksafer would be great though as a selectable option.  It doesn't shift the actual neck position, just the amount of head swing jumps a few degrees for assistance in looking back, a necessary thing where there is no peripheral vision due to a mechanically restricted FOV.

Be lovely to have that as a setting for custom amount of degrees within a reasonable range and on a button so it only swings when you command it.  It's not always desirable in necksafer to have it auto swing at a specific spot, it's always been a compromise and trade off, always been better than nothing.

I'm not sure I follow what the problem is here with head tracking. If I pan my head left and right, my head pivots on my neck, and if I'm looking back over my shoulder in game, if the headrest is in the way, I lean a little in my seat or tilt my head to see past it, like I reckon I would need to in reality. What is the crux of the problem?  Are you performing the lean in your setup with a key press? With my trackIR, I'm able to do that all in one fluid movement.

Yes, it's nice to have neck simulation with track ir
