Hi, I had some other stuff to deal with, but I want to finish the last couple of missions in the coming weeks. I could already share the ones I have and make it a serialized release? 🙂 2
SYN_Vander Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 You can try out the first 5 missions with this file. Extract in the /data/Multiplayer/Cooperative folder (or a sub folder of that): https://www.mediafire.com/file/nx2j19oc596uhd8/Operation_Jubilee_01-05.zip/file 3 4

If it has been designed with multiplayer spawn, it is easier to fly it on your own server. The functionality is mostly the same except picking your aircraft at the start. If you convert it to a single mission, you will have to change the spawn logic and aircraft properties. It can be done of course, but "the juice may not be worth the squeeze" as they say. I was more wondering if there would be enough AI flights or if this campaign specifically needs many human players. I always wanted to fly some jubilee missions, but there hasn't really been one for single-player. I guess you would not be allowed to make a campaign out of the official DLC dates. 😁
Juri_JS Posted May 14 Posted May 14 2023 I build a JG 26 Dieppe mini-campaign but never released it, because I wasn't really satisfied with the results. Also performance was a problem, there was really a lot of activity in the air and on the ground. I guess the scenario will work better as coop campaign. 3

Yeah, I had to dumb down the AI activity/number of ships a lot. I added a lot of those static ships to have some scenery. 1

Yes, that’s always the problem with a Bridgehead invasion scenario. There are not many static ship types, and the complex ships take almost as much CPU bandwidth as a plane. 8 hours ago, sandmarken said: Thanks. I believe all the unoccupied coop planes will be flown by AI. 8 hours ago, sandmarken said: I always wanted to fly some jubilee missions, but there hasn't really been one for single-player. What does not work is improvising a map in a place with incorrect city and airfield names, like using the Kuban map as a stand in for Kos in Greek Fire. Operation Jubilee is relatively close to the English coast, but the biggest issue I found with that time frame (besides crossing the channel every mission) is that without drop tanks, the AI tends to run out of fuel after getting into combat over France in the Spitfire Mk VB. Once you get over there, you hit bingo fuel in 5-10 minutes. If your flight or others gets involved in a dogfight and does not disengage quickly, they will ditch in the channel. 3 Ryzen 7 7800X3D l 32GB DDR5-6000 l RX 7900 XTX 24GB l HP Reverb G2
