Hello everyone, I've been using the mission editor and learning how to use it. There's a command called Translator AI POI, and I've been testing it in my missions. It seems to work, although I'm still not sure the correct way to use it since there's hardly any documentation. I've been applying it to modify how the AI behaves, for example, with the Area Attack command. I noticed that enemy fighters were going straight to intercept bombers or attack aircraft, ignoring the escorts. Now, if they engage them directly

Excuse my bad English, I'm using a translator

I am curious to know how you have been applying it to modify how the AI behaves, and in what way it seems to work. When I experimented with it, it does not take object or target links leading me to believe it is not functional. If you know how it works, I would be interested to know as well.

As Jaeger says, I'd be very interested to know how it works. It was never fully documented by either the Devs or JimTM. If you do in fact notice a different AI behaviour, please let us know 🙂

I did it with an object-type link from a Activate trigger, and the trigger from a timer.

In my tests I noticed that the enemy AI in an interception went directly to the bombers ignoring the escort fighters. In the path of these enemy fighters, for example, I put a timer + trigger activate + [object link] AI POI and configured it [enabled - Attack air targets - Attack enemy Dogfight].

With this configuration, I now see that the enemies will fight directly with the escorts, but I think more can be done with this; it's a shame there's no information about this resource.

For what it's worth, see this post and this post in the old forum. Maybe it will give you some clues.

You can also search the old forum using Google search like so:
