"M" key does not toggle minimap

Pressing the "M" key does not toggle the minimap on/off while in the cockpit or go through any other minimap settings.

I tried resetting the "M" key in Key Mapping > Service along with assigning a new key sequence (LWin + M) and neither worked.

How do I get the minimap to display?

If you are in Multiplayer, I believe this is a server setting by the server owners. Just use 'O' to get big map.

I am not in multiplayer.

From the main game screen go to Settings, then Flight Interface. There is an option 'Mini map size'. Check it isn't set to 'hidden'.

I got it to work!

In the "Realism" settings I had to check "Instrument Panel" since I switched the "Realism" settings to "Custom" due to one of the youtube flight tutorials I was using.
