idahosurge Posted December 7, 2025 Posted December 7, 2025 I did a forum search for graphic settings and did not find what I was looking for. Is there any detailed information (manual / tutorial) on what the different settings under "graphics" do? I changed mine from high to ultra and did not see any changes at all. Switching to ultra also did not change any of the separate settings on the right. Quote

Kubert Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 The most visible change of low, medium, high and ultra settings is draw distance of a trees...all of them. Forests, treelines... 1 Quote

Dash,Polder Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Also don't forget to manually set these land_anisotropy = 16 land_detail = 7 land_tex_lods = 3 They'll greatly increase the over all quality along with Ultra, but can only be manually set in the startup file. If you make any graphics changes and save they will have to be manually set again, they'll always default back to lower settings. Quote

I use some variants of the startup.cfg file in the JSGME mod controller. It is very useful so I don't have to restart the game to change the graphic or activate/deactivate mods. I see I already have land_tex_lods at 3. Anyway, are you sure that 16 or 7 are the correct values? Edited December 14, 2025 by Mark_Krieger Quote
TheNappingMan Posted December 12, 2025 Posted December 12, 2025 Are there any tricks to increase the LODs of aircraft? In WWI crates the pop-in of the rigging wires is kinda immersion breaking. And yes I realize this would bring my PC to its knees, but I'd like to try. 🙂 Quote
Mike2945 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 Where do I find the land_anisotropy etc files in my IL2 GB folder? Quote

Hopper64 Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 Anyone have screenshots showing the difference in those specific land detail settings? Thanks. Quote
