Cannot Display Minimap

In the below picture, I was told the map in the lower right corner is called the minimap.

In Settings > Key Mapping > Service, there is "Change ingame map mode" and the key to toggle this is "M".  Doing a google search for "IL2 minimap key" the search said the key for this was "M".

When in the cockpit I press the "M" key and nothing happens.  No map, no changes, nothing.

Is the "M" key the correct key to display the minimap?  If so, any idea why this is not working?

Go to KEY MAPPING -> SERVICE

-> Change in game map mode

-> cursor over 1st column to right until “Add new action” appears (If the “m” letter is already there, click on the X button)

-> Enter the letter M (lower case) 

-> Click on ACCEPT in box on right

-> Click on ACCEPT bottom right of screen

You should be good to go!

In game, tapping the M key repeatedly will switch from Full  > Mini > No Map in the lower right of your screen

I have mine assigned to a button on my Wart Hog joystick & use it constantly - esp when I’m trying to find an airfield!
