YoYo Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 I put it from the old IL-2 Forum. IL-2 BoX is the only title on the market that I play in VR that has this problem. I hope, that this issue will not be present in IL-2 Korea. Floating cockpit view, when you switch to F1 view, they used to call pilot view. Currently there is always some strange shift of view before the pilot's eyes take the right place. This happens when you change the view, or sometimes even without changing, the view can move away for a moment to return to the default place. It is quite irritating. 1 Quote
Dash,Polder Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 That combined with the mechanics of the way the gunsight is projected is most annoying. In most cases you can hardly see it without the head precisely in alignment, any off bore makes it virtually unusable. Not how the real deal worked, it never dimmed or vanished at any angle of view. Should be more like looking through a window with a projection on it than through a cheap rifle scope with bad parallax. 1 Quote

The issue concerns the view shifting each time you sit in the cockpit, which is very annoying and only applies to VR. The bug does not affect the crosshair or gunsight, which is ok. Dash,Polder Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 I disagree, one feeds and effects the other, they're especially annoying in combination. Quote

That's a completely different issue. We're talking about resetting the pilot's view position with F1 view what can be seen in the video. The effect related to the crosshair is a different matter.
