365th Fighter Group's Black Day D-Day+1

On June 7, 1944. The 365th Fighter Group (Hell Hawk's) goes on several armed reconnaissance missions  against the Wehrmacht in support of the invasion. They lost 14 planes.

7 were shot down/crashed. 7 heavily damaged

5 men were killed, 1  became a POW and 1 who was hidden by the French resistance and later returned to his unit after the British Liberated Caen a month later.
