Ta 152 instrument panel question

Not really sure where to place this, didn't see an existing subforum this fit in. 

Anyway, P8 on the Ta152's instrument panel has what looks like part of an Allen wrench sticking out that flips down at about 7800 meters climbing then returns to vertical in a descent at 7500 meters.

I can't find info on this, anyone know why/ what its doing?

I believe that's for the cabin pressurization system.
