Win Key Does Not Take Me To Desktop

New to the IL2 Great Battles series.

When in the game if I press the "Win" key in other games it lets me access my desktop and other applications.  This does not work in IL2.  Is there anyway to get the "Win" key to work?

Have you tried shortcut "Alt + Tab"?

I have been using Alt+Tab, just not use to it and I have to click on an open app to actually get to the desktop, never had to do this with the Win key.
