Off to a Caribbean Patrol, D-Day (405th Fighter Group)

June 6, 1944. D-Day is here. Ludlow and the men of the 510th were ready to go to the beaches only to receive a shocking

assignment which stunned and anger the men of the entire 405th Fighter Group...A short video with an old song "These Foolish things."

Not everyone took part in the invasion. the 405th Fighter Group was one of them the high command decided to relegate to the patrolling Bay of Biscay, escorting the RAF Coastal Command Liberators who are on anti submarine missions.
