I am currently not using PWCG activly and I don't know if it works, but there are 2 folders with maybe interesting data: Aircraft: In the fw190d9.json file are dates defined: Squadron: Here seem to be all units defined. If the first step worked backup your work and try / test it, as I said I am currently not active! But when I look in the aircraft files I suppose that you can do only the opposite thing: you can define a plane for ONLY ai usage: e.g: the B25 is in Great Battles a pure AI plane, see: For flyable standard planes it is: 1 Quote

There are no parameters available. What you could try to have a similar result: If you decide to fly for squadron xx with the "only player flyable" plane type yy remove this plane from all other squadrons and when you create the mission you have the possibility to choose this plane type only for you, the player and choose for the other AI pilots of your squadron the other plane types. PWCG uses placeholder for some early war types, as there is no early german or french two seaters. I've hardly found a better asset for my WWI experience but I could do with some modifications to help tell a better narrative, or just change the appearance of parts of the GUI to match some things I have in mind. I would also like to add more newspapers or news of events. I see you have the JSON data for newspapers and it looks straightforward, but I don't know what my attempts to add new ones would do; what conflicts would I cause? Unrelated to PWCG, but my ideal WWI flight sim would have some recreation of the pilot's mess a la A.G. Lee's "Abode of Love" or a similar clubhouse. I would love if our squadmates had a simple backstory with minimal interaction, but a 3d avatar and a memorial in the clubhouse when they fall prey to the boche. To me, the squadmates are lacking in personality enough that I don't feel so bad when they're killed, which is probably good considering the foolishness they can get up to. And bless you for resurrecting the AI pilots that confuse the ground and the sky. 1 Quote

Sorry if it's in the wrong place and lemme know if there is a topic i'm not seeing with general PWCG conversation. I've been loving PWCG, I think I'm about 15 hours in and everything seems to be working great. I'm not certain on some things related to settings though. My flight always consists of max 3 (including myself). Is this hard-baked in, or is there a setting for this? Enemy flights do get large and seem to vary nicely. Also, on for instance ground strafing, my buddies seem to just stay up until they head home, should I just dive in solo? Will they follow me? Or is ground strafing a solo thing in the game. It would be good to know how it functions so I'm not wondering if I'm encountering a bug during immersion. :). Thanks again for the wonderful campaign generator. Quote

Pat has nothing to do with how your wingmen act (or, more often, don’t act). PWCG just puts all the pieces in place, but it’s up to the game engine to move them around. It’s been a frustration for some time. The old forum had many threads for suggestions on how to coax your wingmen into doing the right thing, and Pat has gone to exhaustive lengths to code the missions such that wingmen are more likely to act as they ought, but once the mission starts all bets are off. As far as the number in your flight, that should be in one of the advanced settings. There are a couple different setting that control the max number of allied planes and the max planes per flight. 1 2 Quote

In fact, the AAR cannot be performed and the following message appears: “PWCG Could not perform AAR. No planes found in logs to associate with the latest mission.” I am attaching the log below, which seems normal to us. Do you have any idea what might be causing this problem? Being mostly a single-player guy I've been encountering weird engine limitations in all the different sim options. Different ones for every one. I'm only just now diving into IL-2 fully, so after more and more missions I'm becoming a bit more familiar with how it is in this case. I'm not gonna worry about brute forcing the AI or such. The point is immersion in any case and that is always, up to a point, up to me to do 🙂. Apart from all this, gotta mention. PWCG fantastic, incredible work on making single player flying worth it. Don't get me wrong, the above is not a rant on flight sims and their shortcomings, it's just the reason i'm playing them all at the same time :). It is what it is and i'm having fun. 1 Quote
